
Sam is a composer and orchestrator from Cheshire, UK, specialising in contemporary orchestral writing.
He has worked on a number of award-winning projects for film, TV, theatre and podcasts. Sam’s credits include Mission Impossible: Fallout, Ad Astra, Black Widow, His Dark Materials, Sicario, Arrival and Call The Midwife, and he has worked with composers Jóhann Jóhannsson, Lorne Balfe, Michael Price and Maurizio Malagnini.
Sam has also provided additional music for The Legend of Dun Huang, and Georgetown.
Sam is resident composer for the award-winning production company Rusty Quill, providing music for much-loved podcasts, including The Magnus Archives, The Magnus Protocol, Cry Havoc! Ask Questions Later and Trice Forgotten.
Sam has orchestrated and conducted various ensembles and session recordings, including for composers Kate Simko and Andrea Boccadoro, and was conductor of the Portobello Orchestra, London, for 7 years.
